Everything you need to know before your camp — from dealines to locations.
The registration deadline is 10 days prior to each session. We reserve the right to close sessions earlier if we reach capacity however. Please register as early as possible to secure your spot.
Unfortunately no. We are limited by NCAA rules prohibiting us from offering individual based financial assistance to our camps.
We will stay in the Georgia Tech dorms on campus. We will have staff in the dorms with the campers at all times. All dorms on campus require a key to enter the building as well as each room. All rooms are two campers per room. You will be able to request a roommate on the registration form.
While spending money is not required, parents are encouraged to provide some money for miscellaneous purchases (snacks, drinks, etc.) that we will be selling at camp.
A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is due at registration. Refunds are only issued if cancellation is made 7 days prior to the beginning of that particular camp session unless a doctor's note can be provided showing an illness or injury. Only payments above the $50 deposit are eligible to be refunded.
No, for liability reasons, we do not offer transportation services to and from camp. Both in-town and out-of-town campers are solely responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from camp.
All camps will be held at the brand new, state-of-the-art Ken Byers Tennis Complex located at 940 Fowler Street NW on the Georgia Tech campus.
Sessions 1-4 will be run by Coach Kenny Thorne and/or Coach Rodney Harmon. They will be assisted by current and former Yellow Jacket players as well as select trusted area coaches. Background checks are performed on all staff.
Day campers need to wear tennis appropriate attire, including non-marking sneakers, and bring a racket and water bottle. Campers also must bring a lunch each day. Overnight campers should also bring some casual clothes for in the dorms as well as toiletries, twin bed sheets, pillow, and blanket. Campers may bring snacks and drinks to camp. However, please note that the dorms do not have refrigerators so perishable items are not recommended for overnight campers. We also encourage campers NOT to bring valuables with them to camp.
No, we do not require a physical to attend camp. All the medical information that we need is on the registration form.
We will have staff at the tennis center starting at 8:00 AM each morning. Please note however that organized camp activities do not begin until 9:00 AM. Summer camp ends at 4:00 PM each day. Winter camp ends at 3:00 PM each day. In the summer, we offer after care for campers that need to stay until 5pm for $20 for the week. See the camp registration page to add this if desired. Campers will have access to additional free hitting on the courts from 4-5pm.
Whether your child is brand new to tennis or aspiring to compete at the highest levels our camps are built for everyone.
